Tom Turner's vocal style and song writing has carried him
across the U.S. and most of Canada, spanning a career of
nearly 30 years.  He has respectfully earned opening spots
before many national and international recording artists,
including the likes of Eric Burdon, Leon Russell, Micheal
McDonald, Tower of Power, Spyro Gyra, Bo Diddley, War,
Edgar Winter, Richie Havens, and the list goes on.
Although Tom has covered many diverse genres of music,
his distinctive phrasing and soulful delivery can come from
only one place "The Blues".  Slow Burn provides the perfect
vehicle for his current original works and gives audiences
the opportunity to hear Tom in his element - "Music with

Joe found himself in the midst of a musical dynasty
when he realized at age 10 that he was hearing his
dad play accordion on local radio shows.  Now a
veteran of musical venues, like Rusty's Jazz Cafe
and the Old Peppermint Lounge, Joe has taken his
talent on various tours throughout the surrounding
states.  Having studied with jazz artist Gene Parker,
Toledo Symphony flautist Robin Peller, and at the
Bowling Green State University, he has always
been growing as a musician.  As he matured, he
was inspired by not only his father, but by such acts
as Tower of Power, Duke Ellington, Jesse Owens,
and the Brecker Brothers.  Joe's distinctive styling
blends a rich, warm, soulful sound with a tenacious
attention to rhythm and timing.  In addition to playing
the saxophone, he is an accomplished flautist,
percussionist, and vocalist.  For Joe, music has been a teacher, a friend, and a guide.

Ian Rowell was  born in Cape Canaveral Florida.  At a young age his parents Jim and
Pam noticed his acute sense of timing and musical capacity.  From there Jim and
Pam knew what they had to do.  They had to provide Ian with the tools necessary to
hone his craft.  Ian was given access to the guitar, drums, bass, and piano and told to
learn one.  Without so much as a single lesson Ian learned them all.  His musical
ability has landed him gigs from the age of 14 to now a ripening 23 with acts such as
his own Jakobi, The Chris Shutters Band, Frostbite, and most recently Tom Turner &
Slow Burn.  Not to mention countless freelance gigs and appearances with many of
Toledo and abroad's best.  With his tasty percussive stylings Ian will be sure to tickle
your musical funny bone.  So make sure to come hear one of Toledo's finest
musicians!
